While the US political system is well too deep up its butt in corruption for one president to solve it, what a dream it would be if someone with as much integrity, intelligence and grace as Marianne Williamson was president as opposed to the bozo brigade we've had for the past few decades (sorry Obama lovers, but suave as you're man is/was, he was little more than a pretty face for the corporate fuckery that's turned the US into the hellscape of division and environmental---physical, mental, spiritual--degradation that it is in 2022.).
Meanwhile, Russell Brand's doing some of the most intelligent, insightful and, yes, entertaining, coverage of current events out there.
So yeah, it seems your cynicism has taken you too far into a cruddy cul-de-sac of nonsensical sensemaking if you are chosen those two humans as examples of what has gone wrong in the blend between the spiritual/political.
