Veronica,

This is a brilliant, well-researched, well-put-together piece!! Bravo!!

I’ll be sharing this widely.

And as for your experiences, they mirror my own. I’ve been a lifelong hetero male who has always been sensitive and the kind of guy who had many female friends who confided in me or figuratively cried on my shoulder over the shitty things Life can throw at us, especially when boyfriends treated them like shit.

In fact, it wasn’t until my 40s (47 now) that I came to terms with an began to love being a man, because I was so upset with just the regular abuse dudes give women.

So in 2015–6 when Hillary supporters began to regularly accuse me of being a misogynist simply because I aligned with Bernie a gazillion times more than Ms. I’m With Her, that hurt (BTW, did anybody else ever have a connection to “I’m With Stupid” regularly pop up when seeing or hearing that slogan? 😁😜)

Anyway, I think I wrote about that in a post. But your post is better! Love the anecdotes you found.

And yes, this does show desperation! They can feel any chance of legit victory being overwhelmed so they are resorting to illegitimate victimhood!

I’ll keep following you. Keep up the good work writing and campaigning (I currently live in Japan but coming to US from April to September, and planning to help out the Bernie Bros, which by the way, I am now taking ownership of as a badge of pride, then!).
