This is such a GREAT article. I’ve been wrestling with how the actual realities of the various alignments are on the American political landscape for the past few years and had seen them as three – right-wing, nationalist Republican (Trump/Limbaugh etc. talk radio/FOX News), the neoliberal, 20th century-style Republicans who are now calling themselves centrist in the Democratic Party and the Progressive wing best represented by Bernie Sanders (and somewhat by Liz Warren, but she’s dropped the ball) – so this re-framing is excellent. I will be sharing it widely.
