This actually speaks to what I think is the key insight delivered by the 2020 meta-narrative:
The Savior is US.
By that I mean, each and everyone of us has within us the amazing power and potential to see through the bullshit of the mainstream narratives, to address where we ourselves are creating our own bullshit and negatively impacting our lives, and then, as we work on this process, the clarity and feeling of empowerment that results allows us to step into our own and get some serious shit done.
No one can do this for us, but we can certainly get a lot of help by finding those whose work helps us with this process. When it comes to seeing through the BS of mainstream narratives, having insightful writers like Lauren here makes for a key ally. I know I consider her work that way.
Last, to address the article more directly, I, too, have gone through the emotional washing machine regarding the Bernie campaign for which I donated every two months a payment of $20.20 starting sometime last year, and for which I spent countless hours writing about, talking about and praying for a victory.
It was a real blow when Team Obama made those phone calls and gave us Jittery Joe, but hey, it seems to me that Bernie’s role is not only in raising awareness about what we can do, but in so much of the true corruption of the System, notably the Democratic Party.
