First, I agree with your sense of frustration about many reactors simplifying "Hi, Ren" into a multiple personality disorder story. That was, in part, what motivated me to write my series.

Having said that, I've sometimes toyed with the idea of doing reaction videos but in pondering what they entail, I realize that the reactor is being asked to make immediate analysis about media they are viewing for the first time. I can't remember my exact reaction to "Hi, Ren" when I first watched it, other than, "Man, that was amazing and is VERY deep---I need to spend some time with this!"

Thus, in defense of reaction video folks, I think they are doing their best in the moment. Personally, I like to go deeper and let things percolate in my head.
