It appears I can't amend my response as I want to (or perhaps I am just too media-challenged this time of day...LOL).

Regardless, I just read Matt Taibbi's latest and I'm not sure the link works or not (I pay for it on Substack), but it's below.

And it reminded me of something: In addition to my pushback on characterizing Chauvin's arrest as "quick", I think your article also doesn't mention that Chauvin had 18 complaints against him. That seems like an awfully lot and, again, in the kind of world I want to see, I'd think a cop with that many citizen complaints would either be relieved of duty or put behind a desk somewhere. Instead, the System protected him and, well, here we are.

Here's that article: https://taibbi.substack.com/p/where-did-policing-go-wrong?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjoyMzU2NTUzLCJwb3N0X2lkIjo1MDk0NjYsIl8iOiJTRld0SyIsImlhdCI6MTU5MTE4OTMzNiwiZXhwIjoxNTkxMTkyOTM2LCJpc3MiOiJwdWItMTA0MiIsInN1YiI6InBvc3QtcmVhY3Rpb24ifQ.lUazlCwxRBwm6xkj5x0EwywXTXyxOPvFuqAGWDsjCec
