I'm a GenX straight white dude whose been basically making this case for years!

My own awareness really started broadening as a freshman at USC in LA during the protests following the absolute travesty of acquitting the four thugs who brutally beat Rodney King and it only increased throughout that decade, leading up to late 1999 in Seattle when I was in the streets with fellow peaceful protesters against the WTO and we were tear-gassed and attacked by a police force that looked more like a bunch of rampaging Darth Vaders then the human beings charged with protecting and serving us, the citizens who paid their salaries.

So I've been cheering on you Millenials for the past several years, defending you against what I see as unfair and often disdainful criticism from (mostly) Boomers and some Gen Xers, because I know you guys are, just like the young adults that came of age in the Depression and World War II, a generation of heroes and you are going to be at the forefront of turning this S.S. Civilization from its course through the Shitshow Straits to a new course to the Sea of Justice.

Pardon the silly metaphors, but this is all my way of saying, Right the F On! Great piece!
