If people had paid more attention to Biden's long track record of supporting the slaughter of brown people (vehement support for Bush's War in Iraq) and the imprisonment and degradation of brown and black people (one of the authors of the consequential mid 1990s Crime Bill, which devastated poor, urban communities), not to mention being the author of the predecessor bill to the PATRIOT Act, which resulted in the War on Terror narrative and massive new growth in the national-security-state apparatus, well, if they'd paid attention to those things, they would find his inhumane Gaza position totally predictable.
What makes me laugh is how Umair writes these columns screaming about the threat to democracy from Trump (and folks like him), but he never aims that same sharp critique at Biden and the Dems.
I better shut up now because the last time I posted such a comment on one of his articles, someone reported me and I got in trouble with Medium. I guess it's, umm, "fascist" to question someone who is writing about the dangers of fascism!
