I understand your concern. But an article can only say so much. I mean, this one was a “14-minute” read. There are plenty of articles out there addressing the issues you raise, and I am thankful they exist.

Ultimately, there are many, many lenses upon which to look at this situation. I, for one, am grateful to anyone who pours their heart and soul into expressing how they see things when their intention is to help others find ways to navigate these dark waters. I think this author has done that.
