I understand that millions of people have deep feelings for Hillary, and that some of those feelings are based on wanting to rid our culture of misogyny. So I understand why they took her loss so hard.

Thing is, that doesn’t mean every critique of her is based in misogyny. I mean, I’m 48 and have referred to myself as a feminist all my life, often being a shoulder for female friends when they were mistreated by their men. I’ve also long admired Bernie Sanders and felt he honestly would have been better for women than Hillary would have because of the policies he would have pushed.

Yet I was called misogynistic by Hillary supporters for my support of Bernie.

I think Hillary came up in a “man’s world” and too often she, and some of her supporters, played politics in the traditional male way. I see her as a tragic figure as a result but that doesn’t mean I can accept some re-writing of her biography as some mere victim in all of this. Her, and some of her supporters, lack of being able to take at least some of the responsibility for her loss can be disheartening.
