Great article, Lauren. You summed up my own feelings and concerns, as well.

As someone who is about to go full-time into journalism/podcasting after almost two decades teaching and as someone who finds most independent media or marginalized figures in the mainstream media like Matt Taibbi offer a lot more actual truth and reporting than outlets like CNN or the New York Times, well, this “plan” is the last thing I want any president to propose.

Personally I prefer the Political Compass to determine people’s politics because not only does it have Left and Right, it has Authoritarian and Libertarian.

As a person who values Freedom over considerations of how the economy and government are interconnected (the Left/Right axis), I am more and more disturbed by how many Leftists are falling into the trap of Authoritarianism. Warren is definitely doing that with this proposal.

In addition, does it strike anyone as rather late (and even hypocritical) for Warren to call on her campaign and everyone else to not spread misinformation when her campaign did just that with the BS story about Bernie supposedly telling her a woman can’t become president, 30 years after he told a group of schoolkids a woman can?

If we are to believe her, will she hold her campaign to account if they try something like that again?
