Great article, as always, Caitlin.

For over 20 years I’ve felt this way about the Democratic Party and while there is hope with the fact that Bernie Sanders and his Movement have come so far, after this week’s “rally around Joe” by the Establishment it’s still hard not to feel that the System is incapable of changing from within.

Like Jack Albrecht, I thought of the good cop/bad cop routine, where both are working for a corrupt police department.

In such a case, are we to celebrate that one cop is nicer than the other? Or should we not support him and demand that the department be reformed?

The answers to those questions seem rather obvious to me, yet I guarantee that if Biden becomes the nominee, in spite of all the words I’ve spoken and written supporting Bernie and warning against a “centrist” like Biden, many will blame me and people like me if Trump beats Biden come November.

How do I know? Because this is the narrative pattern that has played out every time the Dems have lost from 2000 on.

Ugh.

Oh well, I’ll still keep writing articles like this one in hopes that enough people in enough upcoming primary states really do want to break that narrative.
