Good news! The more of us who wake up from the illusion that either of these bought-and-paid-for parties aren't working for us and have no positive vision for the future, the more we stop our infighting with our fellow citizens, the better chance something positive might emerge out of the ashes of this dying empire.

If you've not read it already, Jessica (or anyone) and you want an excellent history of the Democratic Party's transformation from the FDR-era working man's party into the Clinton/Obama salaried-class party, check out Thomas Frank's "Listen, Liberal," which came out in 2016 (and things have only gotten MUCH worse since then).

Also, prolific writer John Michael Greer's blog, ecosophia.net and his books on politics are very insightful.
