First and foremost, I REALLY appreciate the breadth of creativity and hopeful practicality your analysis offers. And you did it very succinctly, too, which I know from experience in attempting to write (and talk) about these Big Picture topics is a tall task. So...well done and THANK YOU!
Two things to focus on. First, the one time in the article I found myself speaking out a challenge was your comment about (and sorry I didn't cut and paste this but can't now as I'm on my phone) how religions are man-made and we need to do away with them and rely on man-made laws (again, correct me if I've misrepresented the statement). My slight pushback was only that our political structures that are explicitly anti-religious, i.e. Maoism or Soviet Russia, have been just as anti-human as systems that are run by religious orders. Something to ponder, but I suspect the problem is fundamentalist ideology no matter its stripes.
Second, you wrote, "The hardest hurdle is that institutions need to let go of full control and give individuals all the rights to choose without patronizing, controlling, or pampering."
Indeed. It seems they are going to go down kicking and screaming and hurting many in their death thralls, so my focus is a) avoiding their damage as much as possible (and helping others do the same) and b) doing what you've done with this article, which is visioning a future to build out of the transformational ashes of the fires of the old world.
