Benin: STELLAR work, my friend!!
Absolutely clear, concise and well-sourced.
I’m a dude who studied print journalism/political science in the early 1990s at the University of Southern California, got myself “radicalized” as a result of learning how radically different the U.S. Power Structure was from the “good guys” version I learned about through the media and the “education” system in the Reagan Era 1980s.
But the growing lack of integrity in the industry in the 1990s as the we-are-in-the-business-of-journalism-to-make-money mindset took over more and more media outlets, along with my sense that newspapers were a dying breed with little future caused me to give up the career in fall 2000 (six weeks before that fateful election).
But now, due to the rise of independent media and my sense that the timing is right both collectively and personally, I’m getting back in the media game. Thus, articles like yours TRULY give me MUCH hope, man! People are waking up because the mainstream, Elite-owned media is just so blatantly bad and full of shit now.
I mean, really, ask yourself: If you want to know why a movement – any movement – is growing, wouldn’t one of the best moves as a journalist be to go and talk to a variety of people in said movement?
Now, I hear MSNBC is looking to get some Sanders-friendly folks on its team, which I both applaud and also say “a bit behind the curve, aren’t we?” Still, better late than never and if it means that awesome, well-spoken, big-hearted independent media folks like Benjamin Dixon get on MSNBC to speak some Truth to Power (and expose MSNBC viewers to our perspective), then I am all for it.
Anyway, great post again. Keep at it!
