This is a great – ha, ha – re-framing of Mercury retrograde and your ideas line up with my own increasing understanding.

I’ve come to think of all retrogrades, in general, as being about focusing those planets’ particular energies on inner work (in the same way, I’ve come to see Reversed cards in Tarot drawings).

And doing inner work by no means implies not doing anything at all. In my experience, it can require more work than outer work, or at least work that seems to be more fruit.

Last, I also appreciate how you re-framed the signing contracts mis-conception. I think if we use Mercury Retrograde to check in with our inner world (especially via some methods of communication, such as journaling or having a dialogue with one’s Higher Self) and then perhaps be aware there may be a few hiccups in our contract negotiations, we will be fine.
