From my perch as an ex-pat Yank of 17 years, it seems there is plenty of blame to go around and anyone who focuses too much on one party or another is missing the forest for the trees.

The lack of true selfless leadership in America over the past few generations seems more than obvious, especially when you look at the current president, who has played an outsized role in some of the key policy failures that have built this crisis, and the previous one, who did everything he could to benefit from American policy failures and the shadow side of American capitalism and American media.

Anyway, hang in there, y'all. Gonna be a challenging next few years.
